    Connections Behavior Planning & Intervention is in search of Behavior Technicians to work in a clinic-based setting in Kent, Washington.

    Our clinic provides ABA therapy (Applied Behavior Analysis) to young children and school-aged children with autism. No weekend work is required, but is available if you'd like to work weekends. This is an entry level position where you will receive paid training to become a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT).

    This is a great position for those college students, paraeducators, CNA, Nanny, Coaches, and those interested in autism, psychology, sociology, social work, counseling, mental health, early childhood development, and teaching to expand their careers and learn about the field of ABA while having a part time/flexible schedule.     RBT's are responsible for delivering instruction based in applied behavior analysis to children and adolescents with autism, challenging behaviors, and/or other special needs under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). This may include teaching a child to communicate, engage in social interactions with peers, and self-help skills. We provide comprehensive initial and ongoing training, and you will be provided with multiple weekly opportunities to collaborate with experienced BCBA.

    Job Responsibilities:

    Work 1:1 with children and adolescents with developmental disabilities and/or emotional behavior disorders

    Maintain a safe environment for all students and staff members

    Follow behavior plans and acquisition plans created by a BCBA

    Take data on all target behaviors

    Attend team meetings

    Debrief with parents/guardians daily

    Write daily session notes

    Collaborate with BCBA during observations

    Minimum Qualifications

    High school Diploma or equivalent required

    Bachelor’s degree preferred. Preferred if in psychology, social work, education, or related field

    Experience working with children and/or people with disabilities

    Strong desire to work with students with special needs

    A strong desire to work in a dynamic team and advance their knowledge and skills in Applied Behavior Analysis
