    Connections Behavior is in search of Part Time Behavior Therapists to work with children and adolescents in various settings.

    Connections contracts with several school districts to provide 1:1 support to children and adolescents with emotion behavior disorders, autism, intellectual disabilities, and challenging behaviors. NO weekend work is required. This is an entry level position where you will receive paid training to become a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT).

    This is a great position for those interested in autism, psychology, sociology, social work, counseling, mental health, para education, and teaching to expand their careers and learn about the field of ABA and who would like to have a part time\flexible schedule.     RBT's are responsible for going to the student’s school, home or assigned center to deliver 1:1 instruction and support by following behavior plans created by a BCBA. Behavior plans may include procedures on how to arrange the environment to prevent challenging behaviors, instructions for how to teach the student to communicate needs more appropriately, and procedures for how to respond to unsafe behaviors. All behavior plans are based on the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis. We provide comprehensive initial and ongoing training, and you will be provided with multiple weekly opportunities to collaborate with an experienced BCBA.

    Job Responsibilities:

    · Work 1:1 with children and adolescents with developmental disabilities and/or emotional behavior disorders

    · Maintain a safe environment for all students and staff members

    · Follow behavior plans and acquisition plans created by a BCBA

    · Take data on all target behaviors

    · Attend team meetings

    · Debrief with teachers daily

    · Write daily session notes

    · Collaborate with BCBA during observations

    Minimum Qualifications:

    · Experience working with children and/or people with disabilities

    · Strong desire to work with students with special needs

    · A strong desire to work in a dynamic team and advance their knowledge and skills in Applied Behavior Analysis

    Additional Requirements:

    · Ability to pass criminal background clearance

    · CPR certified (within 60 days)

    · TB test (within 60 days)

    Training Opportunities include:

    · Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) Credential

    · Board Certified assistant Behavior Analyst (BCaBA) coaching and supervision

    · Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) supervision and guidance

    $300 sign on bonus is payable to candidates selected for employment and whom receive a favorable\successful 90 day probationary evaluation. Those who receive a favorable\successful probationary evaluation will be paid out their sign on bonus in the pay period directly following the completion of the probationary evaluation. Candidate must still be employed by Connections at the time of payout to be eligible to receive the payout.

    Connections Behavior is a Healthcare Agency in Washington State, Washington is legally requiring all healthcare workers and school district workers, get a COVID-19 vaccination and to be fully vaccinated prior to starting, or provide a medical or religious exemption. If you are not fully vaccinated, or do not have a medical or religious exemption you cannot begin work until 2 weeks after your final vaccination.
