Growing CPA firm in Pleasant Hill is hiring for the following position. Staff Accountant: $65,000-70,000 Base plus performance bonuses What you’ll be doing:  Assisting Sr. staff and managers  Preparing year-end adjustments, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules  Preparing individual, partnership, and corporate income tax returns  Bookkeeping, including original data entry as well as review of clients’ QuickBooks files  Assisting with IRS/State tax notices, and audits  Year-end tax projections What we look for:

• A Bachelor’s degree (Accounting Preferred) (min GPA=3.30)
• 2-3 years of tax and accounting experience strongly preferred
• A great work ethic and strong desire to become a CPA
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment & ability to work well with others
• Excellent written, verbal, and listening communication skills
• Excellent computer skills, including accounting software and Microsoft Office (Lacerte experience is a big plus)
• CPA or CPA candidate
