THE POSITION

A growing, multi-location privately held organization is continuing to grow in Texas and has created a role for Bookkeeper, Accounting Clerk, or Junior Accounting in the production headquarter facility. In this role you will report to the Controller and take responsibility for recording daily financial transactions. This role is heavy transactional data entry, report preparation, assisting with payroll, performing Accounts Payable and Account Receivable transactions, managing collections, and generating invoices.

An intendent Bookkeeper who can work under minimal supervision and adhere to deadlines. Strong attention to detail to perform accurate general journal entry and inter-company transactions experience, reconciling bank accounts and credit card statements, and awareness of the impact of the accuracy of those entries is a necessary. You will administer the health insurance program and managing certificates of insurance.

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

· A degree in Accounting, Finance, or similar; or equivalent experience in QuickBooks Bookkeeping

· General Journal Entry experience is required

· Experience classifying transactions and reconciling accounts in QuickBooks

· Experience in AP/AR is required

· Experience entering Inter-company transactions is preferred

· Accurate Alpha-numeric data entry is required

· Payroll experience is a plus

· Bank Reconciliations is a plus

· A Notary Certification is a plus

· Prior payroll experience is a plus
