    Join a dedicated local intermodal operation based in Fort Wayne, IN. Earn $80,000-$88,000 annually , get home daily, and run primarily container freight with daily Chicago routes plus local work.

    Main Yard / Starting Location

    Fort Wayne, IN — drivers report to the Fort Wayne yard daily for dispatch and truck assignment. Tractors remain at the account during time off.

    Pay Details

    $80,000-$88,000 Average Annual Pay

    • Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,550-$1,700
    • $5,000 bonus
    • $0.52-$0.62 per mile
    • Approximately 1,900 miles per week
    • $56 live load/unload at customer
    • $28 customer drop/hook
    • $15 out-of-route empty move or crosstown drop
    • $15/hour rail delay after 1 hour
    • $15/hour detention after 1.5 hours
    • $25 per HAZMAT load

    Job Details

    • Dedicated local intermodal operation
    • Operates within a 175-mile radius of Fort Wayne
    • Daily runs to Chicago and back
    • Local work within approximately 100 miles of Fort Wayne as needed
    • Transport containers between customers and rail yards
    • Approximately 60% drop & hook / 40% live load-unload on day shift
    • Primarily drop & hook during night operations
    • Drivers report to the Fort Wayne yard for dispatch and truck assignment
    • Slip-seat operation

    Shift Details

    • Tuesday-Saturday
    • 6:00 AM start
    • Approximately 11-hour shifts
    • Home daily
    • Schedule may include daily Chicago runs
    • Trucks remain at the account during time off

    Job Requirements

    • Valid Class A CDL
    • Minimum 3 months of truck driving experience
    • Clean driving record
    • Valid DOT Medical Card
    • No SAP drivers
    • HAZMAT endorsement not required at hiring
    • Must obtain HAZMAT endorsement within 60 days of hire
    • HAZMAT endorsement costs reimbursed after the endorsement is added to the CDL
    • Must be comfortable operating automatic equipment
    • Additional qualifications may apply

    • 18 paid days off initially: 12 PTO + 6 holidays
    • After 1 year: 22 paid days off: 16 PTO + 6 holidays
