    Large Grocery Retailer | Local Dedicated Fleet | Home Daily | Solo Driver | Refrigerated Freight

    Cornerstone Driver Solutions is recruiting CDL-A Company Drivers for a dedicated local position supporting a large grocery retailer based in Perryville, Maryland.

    This is a home-daily refrigerated driving position with consistent grocery freight. Drivers should be prepared for a physically demanding role that includes loading and unloading freight at customer locations.

    Pay & Earnings

    • Average Weekly Pay: $1,725
    • Top 10% Weekly Pay: $2,136
    • Average Annual Earnings: $89,723
    • Top 10% Annual Earnings: $111,076
    • Mileage Pay: $0.50–$0.54 CPM based on qualifying experience
    • Stop Pay: $20 per stop
    • Supplemental Pay: $150 per week
    • Load Pay: $55 per load
    • Metro Pay: $50 for qualifying metro-store deliveries
    • Detention Pay: $0 per hour
    • Approximately 1,600 miles per week

    Home Time & Schedule

    • Home Daily
    • 7-day-per-week operation
    • No set days off
    • Start times generally between 6:00 PM and 1:00 AM
    • Drivers should be comfortable working varying days and schedules
    • Reliable attendance is important

    Freight & Equipment

    • Dedicated large-grocery-retail freight
    • Refrigerated / multi-temperature trailers
    • Solo company-driver position
    • Approximately 1,600 miles per week
    • Multiple store deliveries
    • Driver is responsible for loading and unloading freight
    • Freight is delivered into store stockrooms
    • Drivers use electric pallet jacks
    • Drivers reload returns at stores and bring them back to the distribution center
    • Drivers must be able to pull and maneuver freight weighing up to 75 lbs
    • Trucks cannot be taken home

    Candidates must live within 45 miles of:

    45-mile hiring radius applies.

    Reliable personal transportation is required because the truck cannot be taken home and drivers must be able to commute to the facility.

    Requirements

    • Valid Class A CDL
    • Minimum 6 months of qualifying CDL-A tractor-trailer experience
    • Able to work a night/evening schedule
    • Willing to work any day of the week
    • Comfortable with a physically demanding driving position
    • Able to load and unload freight
    • Able to use an electric pallet jack
    • Able to pull/maneuver up to 75 lbs
    • Comfortable making multiple grocery-store deliveries
    • Reliable transportation to and from the facility
    • Strong attendance and safety record
    • Must be comfortable with home-daily operations and no guaranteed set days off
