    CDL-A Local Intermodal Driver – Bell Gardens, CA

    Earn $19.25 per hour plus $18.71 per stop hauling intermodal containers throughout the Los Angeles and Inland Empire areas. Enjoy a five-day workweek, daily home time, and day or night shift options with a mix of preloaded and live freight.

    Job Details

    • Local intermodal container operations throughout Los Angeles and the Inland Empire
    • Operate through rail ramps in Long Beach, Los Angeles, Commerce, City of Industry, and Bloomington
    • Some required pickups and deliveries in the Shafter and Lebec areas
    • Mix of drop-and-hook, live loading, live unloading, and preloaded freight
    • No-touch freight; no driver-assist loads
    • Automatic dispatch; drivers do not choose their routes
    • Slip-seat operation
    • Trucks are parked at the Bell Gardens yard

    Shift Details

    • Home daily
    • Five-day workweek
    • Day and night shifts available
    • Sunday–Thursday or Tuesday–Saturday schedules
    • Optional extra workdays
    • Drivers generally work their full 11-hour driving time; shifts may extend to the full 14-hour clock depending on freight demands
    • Holiday schedules vary; volunteers are normally requested for major holidays, and operations shut down early on Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve

    Job Requirements

    • Valid Class A CDL
    • Minimum 3 months of verifiable Class A CDL experience
    • Clean driving record
    • Valid DOT Medical Card
    • No SAP drivers
    • Must be able to cover assigned Shafter and Lebec pickups and deliveries
    • Must be comfortable with intermodal operations and automatic dispatch
