    JOB DESCRIPTION

    As a CDL Truck Driver for RH Price, you’ll report each morning at 7am to pick up the dump truck and tool trailer and bring it to the jobsite. A typical workweek is Monday through Friday, averaging 40 – 45 hours in the winter and 45 – 50 hours the rest of the year. Weekend work may be required occasionally but is not the norm. The CDL Truck Driver is responsible for the safe operation of the truck, coordinating with the site supervisor, and loading and hauling equipment or materials. At times when the truck is not

    needed, you will assist with operating equipment and performing other tasks relating to underground water and wastewater pipe installations. In addition to driving responsibilities, the driver will perform routine maintenance, repair, and safety inspections.     Responsibilities

    The following represents a sample of various job responsibilities performed in the CDL Truck Driver position.

    Operates truck in safe and professional manner on public highways, roads, in the yard area, and at various job sites. Trucks driven include but are not limited to: dump truck, low boy, water truck, and vac truck.

    Performs daily pre/post trip inspections with appropriate documentation in compliance with DOT guidelines, including fuel and mileage logs.

    Checks fluid levels, tires, lights, gauges and other controls for safe operation. Refer major problems to supervisor.

    Attaches and removes trailers, lowboy, and tilt/transport trailers to truck as needed.

    Safely load, tie down, and unload equipment or materials.

    Perform minor servicing and maintenance of equipment. Refer major problems to the supervisor.

    Obey applicable laws, regulations, and follow supervisor instructions.

    Must keep vehicle in a clean and orderly condition.

    Always maintain 3 points of contact on all pieces of equipment.

    Respond to signals and directions by other employees and coordinate with them.

    Report any safety violation, incident, or injury to the Site Supervisor.

    When not driving or operating heavy equipment, must perform additional duties including labor to support production with the team.

    Skillset /Aptitudes

    · Positive attitude, respectful, honest, clean appearance

    · Enjoy working outdoors

    · Valid CDL Class A Driver’s License

    · Current Medical Card

    · Drug Free

    · High school diploma/GED

    · Minimum 3 years’ experience driving commercial vehicles

    · Comfort working in a high stress environment

    · Ability to lift heavy tools and materials

    · High level of self-motivation and strong work ethice

    · Must be flexible, dependable, and effectively communicate with a team

    Compensation (Varies depending on experience and skillset)

    Hourly wages $24 - $27, annually $67,000 - $75,000

    Benefits include 5% fringe pay, annual bonus, holiday pay, 5 vacation days after 1 year employment, and uniforms after 90 days employment.
