Class A CDL Driver
Job description:
The CDL Class A Manual Shift Driver is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of heavy equipment and commercial vehicles, including lowboy trailers. This includes operating loaders, skid steers, and track excavators to load and unload trailers. This is not a driving-only position; the driver is also expected to assist with field operations as needed.
Primary duties include operating a heavy commercial tandem dump truck—with or without a trailer—and hauling materials and heavy equipment to and from construction sites using lowboys and other trailers. The driver must ensure all loads are properly secured and transported in compliance with DOT and company safety regulations.
The driver is also responsible for conducting daily vehicle condition reports, ensuring that the truck and trailer meet all company, state, and federal safety standards before operation, and promptly reporting any issues for repair.
PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform complete pre-and post-trip inspection of the vehicle following Company policy to ensure tire pressure, fluid levels, safety equipment, gauges, and controls are in proper working order. Report any safety issues on standard reports.
Safely operate all heavy equipment and dump truck.
Operate manual shift truck, following Company safety policies and procedures to lift and load capacity.
Courteously interact with other employees, outside customers, and others daily in a professional manner.
Perform minor repairs to trucks and trailers inside the yard.
Continuously monitor the condition of the vehicle to ensure it is always operationally ready to minimize downtime.
Follow all required safety policies and procedures.
Perform other job-related duties such as operation of heavy equipment to unload and load materials on job site. Be able to operate equipment such as loaders, skid steer, excavators for loading on trailer's and moving to job sites.

Two years of prior experience driving commercial trucks preferred.
Demonstrated mechanical aptitude to be able perform minor repairs.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Class A Commercial Driver’s license
