Analytical Instrument R&D Scientist
CDS Analytical, the world leader in Analytical Pyrolysis instrumentations and EmporeTM membrane consumables, is looking for an R&D Scientist for the pyrolysis system product line with solid background in polymeric/analytical chemistry.
Responsibilities:
The target of this job is to develop a competitive analytical pyrolysis product line. Following the R&D guidance and reporting to the R&D manager, the R&D Scientist plays a central role in the project teamwork, which may include team members majoring in mechanical, electronics, and software, and may be responsible for initiating, implementing, and managing R&D projects for the pyrolysis product line.
Job duties:
a. Develop new analytical pyrolysis products.
b. Works with R&D project team to develop new products, including both instruments and consumables.
c. Sets the milestones and plan the resources requested for a project.
d. Implements the project with professional insights to meet the project goals.
e. Designs experimental testing and verification for new products and new technologies.
f. Performs hands-on Lab works, in the factory or at customers’ sites, for testing or demonstration.
g. Documents the output of the testing and verifications, including Application Notes to support sales and marketing.
h. Manages instruments, including maintenance and troubleshooting.
i. Performs other related tasks as assigned.
Requirements:
a. Bachelor’s degree or above in analytical chemistry
b. Direct experience with Gas Chromatography/Mass Spectrometry (GC/MS) for at least 1 year and analytical chemistry for at least 2 years
c. Hands-on working in the lab for at least 1 years
d. Skills of GC/MS and relative sample preparation; skills of analytical pyrolizers
e. knowledge and skills in project management

Compensation
