    Job Summary

    Seeking a responsible and hardworking Registered Nurse with a positive attitude to join our team of nurses. In this role, you will primarily be working at skilled nursing facilities (SNF) as a Charge Nurse. Someone who operates with great attention to detail and follows all policy and procedure protocols. Candidate should be someone who is able to assume the responsibility of supervising LVNs and CNAs on your shift. You should be able to communicate effectively and work well with others. To succeed, you should have demonstrated knowledge and skill in current nursing practices as well as a strong penchant for solving problems. We are a registry for nurses and work with facilities all throughout Orange County. You are in control of your work schedule as it will be completely based on your availability.

    Responsibilities

    Follow all of the facility's policies and procedures protocols

    Document and communicate any patient's change of condition that occur during shift

    Ensure patient health care records are maintained and accurate

    Contact patient's physician as needed according to facility's protocol.

    Administer medications according to the E-MAR.

    Order clinical and medical diagnostic exams and tests

    Take patient vital signs

    Record patient medical history

    Work with other nurses and medical professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients

    Take vital signs and start IVs for patients

    Interpret diagnostic exams and tests to identify patient conditions

    Be able to supervise the work of all LVNs & CNAs on your shift.

    Guarantee patient confidentiality is respected and kept intact

    Maintain a safe, hygienic working environment

    Enter any new physician orders into E-MAR system.

    Ensure all medical equipment used is up-to-date and functions properly

    Document all actions and any irregularities so that other nursing teams are aware of the current state of the patient

    Qualifications

    An active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing in state of California is required.

    (1-2) years of experience as a Registered Nurse preferred**

    Excellent interpersonal and client care skills

    CPR/BLS certification required

    Skilled Nursing experience preferred**

    Charge Nurse experience preferred**

    Electronic Medication Administration Record software (E-MAR) knowledge (Point Click Care - PCC)
