As a valued member of our team, the sweeper driver is responsible for safely and efficiently driving a sweeper truck to perform all duties as assigned. Essential Duties and Responsibilities (including the following; other duties may be assigned)
Drives truck to various company sites as scheduled, safely and timely
Sweeps the plants, utilizing a specific path
Pre and Post trip vehicle inspection
Clean out of the hopper after each plant
Maintains the sweeper clean
Drives truck safely and timely to locations
Maintains high level of customer service through courteous and effective communication with dispatchers, plant management, other drivers, contractors and customers
Keeps proper records and documents daily activities.
Performs all duties assigned by management in a timely manner.

Education/Experience
Two to four years of prior commercial driving experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is preferred but mandatory
Language Skills
Candidate must have effective communication skills in the English language in both written and verbal form.
Certificates/Licenses/Registrations
Possession of a valid unrestricted California Driver’s License (Class B with air brakes).
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Saturday from 4:00 am – 12:30 pm, with overtime hours available at times.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit for extended periods of time. The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk or hear. The employee regularly assembles, disassembles, lifts and carries chutes that can weigh up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, hazardous chemicals, outside weather conditions and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, high, precarious places, fumes or airborne particles, extreme heat and risk of electrical shock and elevated noise levels. Employee must wear required personal protective equipment; up to and including safety vest, hard hat, ear protection, gloves and safety glasses.
