The Digital Media Associate plays an important role in shaping and executing Arts Bonita’s marketing, content, and public relations strategy, driving audience and membership engagement, program revenue, and organizational visibility to further Arts Bonita’s mission and vision.
RESPONSIBILITIES
CONTENT CREATION & OVERSIGHT
Maintain the Arts Bonita website with regular updates to ensure current information, including posting articles and providing customer service for the Member News section.
Serve as editor of Arts Bonita’s blog, writing and compiling entries highlighting current news from Arts Bonita and member individuals and organizations; maintain a regular blog posting schedule.
Manage the organization’s social media presence and strategy: creating and posting regular content, collaborating with staff to highlight special initiatives, and cultivating enhanced visibility and engagement opportunities.
Create and send regularly recurring email communications to increase engagement, including member e-newsletters.
Leverage Arts Bonita’s communications channels to promote and increase visibility for articles, videos, and other content.
Collaborate with the membership team to highlight membership benefits through Arts Bonita’s digital media channels.
Understand Google Ads, Google Ad Grants, and Google Analytics to effectively drive traffic to Arts Bonita's website and increase awareness of our organization.
PROGRAM MARKETING
Work with the Marketing Director to develop specific marketing strategies for all programs.
Execute digital media plans for Arts Bonita’s programs to drive revenue and engagement, focusing on email and other digital marketing strategies and channels.
Manage website presence for all Arts Bonita programs; coordinate with information and digital asset manager on program website infrastructure.
Collaborate with programs, development, and other internal teams to develop program marketing messaging and coordinate timelines.
DATA, STRATEGY, AND ANALYSIS
Manage organizational email and digital content calendar, collaborating across departments to balance messaging priorities.
Manage Arts Bonita’s bulk email program, maintaining a segmented email list and using bulk email data to inform continued bulk email developments.
Track and analyze results of program and content marketing strategies to inform and refine future marketing efforts.
Collect and share regular website usage and performance statistics, collaborating with information and digital assets manager to track and analyze data.
QUALIFICATIONS
Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading ability
Committed team player with outstanding cross-departmental collaboration skills
Strong follow-up and time management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects
Entrepreneurial spirit and a creative and positive approach to problem-solving
Willingness to work some weekends and weeknights to capture Arts Bonita’s events and programs.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE PREFERENCE
Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience required
Minimum of three (3) years of communications and marketing experience, preferably in the arts, culture, and/or education
Strong knowledge of Microsoft software (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) required
Proficiency in email marketing and social media is required
Experience with digital media, including video creation and editing, preferred
Experience with Content Management System (CMS) preferred
Knowledge and appreciation of music, theater, or the arts are preferred
