DESCRIPTION:

SAMHSA is the agency within HHS that leads public health efforts to advance the behavioral health of the nation. SAMHSA's mission is to reduce the impact of substance abuse and mental illness on America's communities.

CENTERPOINT provides comprehensive information security and privacy support services to SAMHSA, aiding in the full implementation of a comprehensive information assurance program capable of responding to Federal (to include Federal Information Security Modernization Act (FISMA) and Federal Information Technology Acquisition Reform Act (FITARA)) and HHS Departmental mandates and the continuance of a risk-based posture flexible enough to respond to the changing nature of information security and privacy threats.

The Quality Assurance Specialist will be a member of a team that shall provide support to SAMHSA to meet the agency's FITARA requirements for continued implementation, enhancement and reporting.

DUTIES:

• Conduct quality audits of the agency's FITARA program and relevant documents, processes, procedures, reports, and deliverables.
• Initiate and lead process improvement activities for the agency's FITARA program.
• Provide quality assurance support to the agency's CIO workplan.
• Provide support to the agency's Enterprise Architecture Lead for EA meetings and minutes, writing and updating of EA policies and procedures, and coordinate the collection and input of EA data.

REQUIREMENTS:

• 3 years' experience with quality assurance programs and industry QA standards
• 1 year experience with FITARA and/or CPIC agency programs
• 2 years' experience with policy and standards development
• 2 years' experience with Enterprise Architecture initiatives
• CIO Workplan and process improvement experience desired.
• Bachelor's Degree in relevant field or equivalent experience
• Public Trust clearance
