    Job Description

     

    Communicates regularly with the President and Global Sales Manager to achieve sales and profit budget/objectives.  Works in cross-functional teams with both domestic and international company personnel on programs and acts as primary contact with designated key customers.  Gathers and reports back information to company management to ensure the success of the company in both the long and short term.  Manages Account Managers, providing leadership, setting sales call strategies and key messages for customer meetings. Supports global Product management and global marketing functions regionally.

    1. Supports and strengthens relationships with assigned customers to build long-term relationships and increase sales.
    2. Identifies new business opportunities to maximize profitability and achieve company growth objectives.
    3. Manages Account Managers and monitors their performance on company objectives.
    4. Utilizes internal resources to help develop new business by relaying customer requirements to other departments in the company including R&D, process engineering, production and Quality.
    5. Develop and introduce specialty products to build market share for the company.
    6. Is team oriented and works closely with customer service department and other company departments to maximize customer satisfaction and meet customers’ requirements. 
    7. Provides quotations and prepares sales contracts for key customers and assists in maintaining medical market profile.
    8. Leads internal/external meetings and presents company product portfolio to customers and prospects to differentiate company from competitors and identify opportunities.
    9. International and domestic travel required for on-site customer visits and internal meetings.
    10. Attend and participate in trade shows to better understand trends in markets and report back information to company’s management team. 
    11. Participates in the evaluation of customer product specifications, quality agreements and complaint responses.
    12. Handles customer communications and works closely with other company departments to develop communication to the customers.
    13. Coordinate regional marketing and advertising efforts with global marketing. Supports global marketing with input for website, social media and other marketing campaigns.
    14. Handles product management responsibilities for the Region, in coordination with other departments and under guidance of the Global Product Manager.
    • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree, preferably in Polymers Science, Plastics, Engineering or Business.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work with both small and large companies. 
    • Ability to grasp technical concepts and understanding of product performance under various case applications.
    • Have the ability to foresee market changes and provide feedback to management that will ensure a continuous market presence and visibility of new products to existing and new customers and markets.
    • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and resolve problems in a professional manner.
    • Managerial experience with both local and remote employee supervision.
    • A minimum of 3 years of Sales experience in medical, plastics or related field.
    • Product management and/or Marketing experience is a plus.
    • Must be proficient in computer skills including Word, Excel and Power Point, ERP and CRM software.
    • International and domestic travel required.
