Job Description
SUMMARY: Assist the Accounting Team in the day-to-day accounting functions for our clients based on their need and scope of work, includes for-profit and non-profit clientele in a variety of industries.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
· Assist Bookkeeping Account Supervisor(s) and CEO with overall day-to-day client processing
· Review, post, attach scans, and pay bills/Accounts Payable
· Review, post, attach scans for credit card and checking account receipts
· Post information pertaining to W-9’s and COI’s
· Enter client data into appropriate accounting software as directed by the Bookkeeping Account Supervisor
· Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of all client base in order to properly code and classify transactions and interpret reporting
· Transport client items to and from their place of business
· Reconcile accounts with financial institution documents
· Make journal entries with understanding of the effects on accounts, debits, and credits
· Establish base of information exchange with each client according to their needs and comfort level to effectively provide services that meet and exceed expectations
· Communicate via phone and email with client vendors when necessary to ensure accounts are reconciled and paid timely
· Attend assigned trainings, staff meetings and huddles – integrate materials and information into better serving client and the CF&O team
· Send correspondence via mail or e-mail on behalf of CF&O and its associates
· Answer office phones and respond to client request or provide a warm hand off to appropriate team member
· Compile new client data for any walk-in clients
· Perform filing and copying
QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
High School diploma or GED equivalent; Associate's degree (A. A.)/Bachelor’s degree (B.S./B.E.); or two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. ACCOUNTING AND QUICKBOOKS EXPERIENCE REQUIRED.
LANGUAGE ABILITY:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, accounting procedures, GAAP functionality, professional journals, and technical procedures. Ability to write reports and business correspondence. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
MATH ABILITY:
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages. Ability to apply these general mathematics to real world problems.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
COMPUTER SKILLS:
Word processing (45 wpm minimum), 10-Key proficiency, Excel proficiency, QuickBooks proficiency (Quickbooks centric – installation and maintenance of software a plus), Internet software, E-mail, Accounting software, Payroll software.
