CFG Merchant Solutions (“CFGMS”) is a privately owned and operated specialty finance, and alternative funding platform. We focus on providing capital access to small and mid-sized businesses (Merchants) in the U.S. that have historically been underserved by traditional financial institutions and may have experienced challenges obtaining timely financing. CFGMS services small to medium-sized businesses that intend to use working capital proceeds in order to grow their business.
We are currently looking to hire a full-time Retention Specialist to be based out of our Glen Rock, NJ office. We are looking for hard working, motivated, and experienced individuals to fill this position. In this role, you will report to the Manger of Collections and will be responsible for collecting on delinquent accounts, negotiating payment terms, and providing exceptional customer service.
Job Description:
- Responsible for monitoring collection portfolios for delinquent accounts and actively conduct calls to follow-up on past due payments or negotiate new payment terms
- Resolve and investigate any payment discrepancies that may arise
- Properly document accounts with accurate and detailed notes of all conversations and actions that took place in order to reach a resolution on an account
- Maintain up-to-date customer contact information and update collection system accordingly
- Thoroughly review account documents for possible receivables that may assist with collecting on outstanding balances
- File and terminate UCC liens
- Review specific states’ Secretary of State websites to see if the business is still active and operating
- Adhere to all applicable laws, regulations and internal policies and procedures
- Other responsibilities as assigned
Minimum Requirements:
- A minimum of 1+ years of collection experience
- Some knowledge of collection processes
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Bilingual (English / Spanish) is a plus
