Job Description – Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead the financial operations of our growing meat processing company. The ideal candidate will bring 10–15 years of progressive experience in finance and accounting, with a strong background in manufacturing, cost accounting, and operational excellence. This role will be a key member of the executive leadership team, driving financial strategy, long-term planning, and organizational growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead all financial functions, including accounting, FP&A, treasury, tax, and risk management

• Develop and execute financial strategies to support business growth, operational efficiency, and profitability

• Oversee financial reporting, ensuring accuracy, compliance with GAAP, and timely delivery to leadership and stakeholders

• Manage annual budgeting, forecasting, cash-flow planning, and capital expenditure strategies

• Provide strategic insights and data-driven recommendations to support executive decision-making

• Strengthen internal controls and ensure compliance with regulatory and audit requirements

• Oversee cost accounting, inventory valuation, and production-related financial analysis to optimize margins

• Partner with operations, supply chain, and sales teams to evaluate performance and drive continuous improvement

• Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing finance and accounting team

• Support M&A evaluations, financial due diligence, and integration when needed

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (MBA or CPA highly preferred)

• 10–15 years of progressive finance and accounting experience

• Strong background in manufacturing, food production, or CPG preferred

• Extensive knowledge of GAAP, financial modeling, and cost accounting

• Proven track record of leading financial strategy and cross-functional initiatives

• Exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills

• Ability to operate both strategically and hands-on in a fast-paced environment
