    Company Overview:
    Garden County Health Services is a small critical access hospital in The panhandle of Nebraska with a mission focused on providing quality care to an at risk population.

    Position Overview:
    We are seeking an experienced and strategic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead our finance team and oversee all financial operations of the company. The CFO will play a critical role in shaping our financial strategy, ensuring the company’s financial health, and providing insights that drive organizational success. This position requires a proactive leader with a deep understanding of financial analysis, investment management, and corporate finance.

    Key Responsibilities:

    1. Financial Strategy:
    - Develop and implement financial strategies that align with the company’s overall goals and objectives.
    - Analyze market trends and competitive landscape to identify opportunities for growth.

    2. Financial Planning and Analysis:
    - Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling to support decision-making processes.
    - Conduct comprehensive financial analysis and reporting to highlight key performance indicators (KPIs) and variances.

    3. Reporting and Compliance:
    - Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in accordance with GAAP and regulatory compliance.
    - Prepare financial statements, reports, and presentations for the board of directors and stakeholders.

    4. Cash Flow and Risk Management:
    - Manage the company's cash flow, investment strategies, and liquidity.
    - Oversee risk management assessments and implement controls to mitigate financial risks.

    5. Team Leadership:
    - Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
    - Collaborate effectively with other departments to ensure financial integration across the organization.

    6. Investor Relations:
    - Communicate financial performance and projections to investors and stakeholders, building relationships based on trust and transparency.
    - Participate in fundraising efforts and negotiations as necessary.

    7. Mergers and Acquisitions:
    - Evaluate potential acquisition opportunities and lead due diligence efforts related to mergers, acquisitions, and partnerships.

    Qualifications:

    - Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
    - 10+ years of experience in finance, with at least 5 years in a leadership role, preferably as a CFO in a Hospital setting.
    - Strong understanding of financial management principles, corporate finance, accounting standards, and statutory regulations.
    - Proven experience in strategic financial planning, analysis, and operational improvement.
    - Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
    - Demonstrated leadership capabilities, with a focus on team development and collaboration.
    - Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of conveying financial concepts to non-financial audiences.
