    Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

    Project-Based Organization | Confidential Search

    A privately held, project-driven organization is seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead financial strategy and operations during a significant growth phase. This executive will play a critical role in scaling the business, strengthening financial infrastructure, and supporting long-term value creation initiatives.

    The CFO will serve as a key member of the executive leadership team, partnering closely with ownership and senior management to drive financial discipline, operational performance, and strategic decision-making.

    Key Responsibilities
    • Develop and execute financial strategies that support business growth and long-term value creation
    • Partner with executive leadership to improve profitability, forecasting accuracy, and operational efficiency
    • Provide financial leadership related to capital structure, strategic investments, and potential transactions
    • Oversee all finance and accounting functions including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, treasury, audit, and tax
    • Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting in accordance with US GAAP
    • Manage revenue recognition, work-in-progress reporting, and contract accounting processes
    • Strengthen internal controls, financial governance, and compliance frameworks
    • Improve project-level financial visibility including job costing, margin tracking, and performance forecasting
    • Support operational leaders with financial insights, reporting tools, and best practices
    • Lead financial systems, process improvements, and infrastructure upgrades to support scale
    • Develop KPIs, dashboards, and analytics to enhance executive decision-making
    • Prepare and present financial information to external stakeholders including lenders, bonding partners, and investors
    Qualifications
    • CPA required
    • Minimum 10 years of progressive financial leadership experience
    • Strong background in project-based, contract-driven, or services organizations
    • Deep expertise in revenue recognition, job costing, margin analysis, and GAAP compliance
    • Experience scaling organizations through periods of rapid growth
    • Prior exposure to recapitalization, private investment, or liquidity events strongly preferred
    • Hands-on, strategic leader with strong communication and executive presence
