    Position Summary

    We are seeking a strategic and detail-oriented CFO to oversee all financial operations of our P&C insurance brokerage business. The role is responsible for structuring and managing the four core Finance verticals, driving process improvements, ensuring compliance, and serving as a trusted advisor to senior leadership. The ideal candidate has strong technical expertise, leadership skills, and experience navigating complex operational environments.

    Key Responsibilities

    1\. Finance Structure & Oversight
    • Lead and oversee the proper functioning of the four Finance verticals.

    • Define clear roles and responsibilities for the team and provide oversight and mentorship to the Controller.

    2\. Strategic Business Leadership
    • Act as a financial advisor to the CEO and executive team.

    • Participate in Leadership Meetings, Owners’ Box Offsites, and EOS process reviews.

    • Identify financial risks and recommend corrective actions.

    • Track and optimize Net Income Margin and profitability by business line.

    3\. Forecasting, Budgeting & Planning
    • Prepare and present quarterly financial forecasts to senior leadership.

    • Lead preparation of the Annual Budget and 3-Year Strategic Financial Plan.

    • Ensure timely, accurate management reporting.

    4\. Cross-Functional Liaison & Audit Compliance
    • Serve as the bridge between Accounting, Operations, and Broker teams.

    • Liaise with external auditors.

    • Support all statutory filings and internal control compliance.

    5\. Process Improvement & Systems Implementation
    • Oversee the transition from cash to accrual basis accounting.

    • Monitor ERP implementations and process improvement projects.

    • Direct critical automation and efficiency initiatives.

    6\. Contract Review & Financial Governance
    • Review and sign all external vendor contracts above $500K.

    • Implement financial controls and compliance protocols.

    Required Qualifications

    • CPA / CA or MBA (Finance) preferred.

    • 15+ years of Finance leadership experience in Insurance, Brokerage, or Professional Services.

    • Strong understanding of accrual accounting, commission-based models, and financial systems like QuickBooks, NetSuite, and PowerBI.

    • Experience in finance transformations and ERP implementations.

    • Excellent communication and strategic thinking skills.
