The Brydon Group is a long-term, people-first investment firm that partners closely with management teams to build durable operating companies. Brydon is backing Estate Management Services (EMS) , a scaled, asset-heavy field services business providing aquatic, environmental, and stormwater management services across the Southeast.
EMS operates a multi-entity platform with significant equipment, field crews, and project-based work alongside recurring service revenue. We are leading the search for a CFO to help mature the finance function, strengthen cash discipline, and support the next phase of operational scale.
Own the finance function for a multi-entity, asset-intensive services organization. This is a hands-on CFO role that blends strategic leadership with day-to-day execution. You will build systems, tighten controls, and create reliable forecasting and reporting for ownership and Brydon partners.
This role is well suited for a senior controller or VP of Finance ready to step into a first CFO seat in a PE-backed, build-stage environment.

Manage CapEx planning, equipment financing, fixed assets, and depreciation schedules
Build and improve financial controls, policies, and reporting processes that reflect real field operations
Partner with ownership and Brydon Group on capital planning and tuck-in acquisitions, with a focus on post-close financial integration and reporting
Hire, develop, and lead a lean finance team as the business scales

Strong understanding of GAAP, cash flow dynamics, and multi-entity consolidation
Willingness to travel regionally around 20 percent
Experience in field services, construction, environmental services, or property-related operations

Flexible hybrid work setup
Full-time, standard business hours with flexibility
Remote with regular site visits across the Southeast

This is not a purely strategic role. You will stay close to the numbers, the cash, and the field. Your work will bring structure, predictability, and insight to a complex operating business where finance directly impacts execution.
You will partner closely with leadership to improve forecasting accuracy, strengthen working capital discipline, modernize systems, and support long-term value creation.
