GENERAL LEDGER BOOKKEEPER

Our client is seeking a qualified general ledger bookkeeper or an entry level accountant to maintain accurate accounting records for our client.  The position will work closely with the executive director, CFO and staff. Ultimately, the g/l bookkeeper’s responsibilities are to accurately record all day to day transactions for this active business. The environment is creative and exciting and requires careful accounting day to day a/p, a/r and payroll and journal entries.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Record day to day financial transactions and complete the posting process
• Verify that transactions are correctly recorded in the general ledger using accurate reporting of time and billing
• Manage the bank reconciliations
• Process A/P, A/R, payroll
• Complete tax forms as needed
• Ad Hoc tasks as requested

REQUIREMENTS

• BS/BA in accounting, finance or economics, a nice to have
• 2 to 3 years of general ledger bookkeeping
• Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting principles
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Organized, self-motivated and able to prioritize
• Customer service orientation and communication skill
• QuickBooks and Excel, required
