    Job Description

Located within the Washington corridor, CGH has worked successfully with Government, Commercial and International sectors, providing management, development and maintenance, and support of large and complex environments. CGH has an exciting opportunity for a seasoned Requirements Analyst to join the CGH Team.

    PURPOSE:

    The selected individual will be responsible to provide expertise in the development and documentation of processes required to establish a single point of input for customer requirements. These processes include but are not limited to developing, documenting, analyzing, prioritizing, tracing, negotiating and testing requirements..

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Interact with customer to capture, define and write requirements.
    • Translate functional requirements from customer into software requirements for the development team.
    • Assist in analyzing and documenting client's business requirements and processes; communicates these requirements to technical personnel by constructing data and process models.
    • Writing requirements specifications according to standard templates, using natural language simply, clearly, unambiguously, and concisely.
    • Leading requirements analysis and verification, ensuring that requirement statements are complete, consistent, concise, comprehensible, traceable, feasible, unambiguous, and verifiable and that they conform to standards. Implementing ways to reuse requirements across projects.
    • Develop and document processes for requirements traceability. This includes tools and techniques allowing for traceability from operational to functional to technical.
    • Attend customer meetings (take notes, follow-up, decompose tasks, etc.).
    • Collaborate with teams across the customer organization to improve processes, results, and effectiveness of requirements plans and processes.
    • Report progress, status and associated data/metrics associated with program requirements.
    • Serve as the liaison between customer and development team.
    • Support the entire life-cycle of development from requirements gathering to final evaluation and testing.
    • Leverage strong analysis and communication skills to support successful solution delivery.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    NUMBER OF YEARS EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

    • 3+ years demonstrated hands-on experience in requirements analytics.

    MINIMUM EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

    • Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Science, Math or related technical discipline.
    • Masters or PhD preferred.

    TECHNICAL SKILLS REQUIRED:

    COMPUTER SKILLS:

    • Microsoft Office Suite

    OTHER KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

    • U.S. Citizen or person with valid U.S. Work Visa who has lived in the U.S. for three or more years
    • Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills a must.
    • Must be highly organized, reliable and have excellent time management skills.
    • Must be a team player with a proactive work style.
    • While performing the duties of this job, the individual is regularly required to sit, stand, talk, hear and use a computer/keyboard/mouse for several hours on a daily basis.
    • May require occasional light lifting of up to 10 pounds.
