    Responsibilities

    • Understands, implements, and upholds safe warehouse operations and working conditions
    • Oversee warehouse operations and organization by establishing and monitoring guidelines best practices
    • Ensures processes are followed and implements new processes when needed.
    • Maintains physical condition of warehouse by planning for incoming and outgoing shipments efficiently
    • Achieves financial objectives by reducing errors in receiving and ship ping errors
    • Continue to increase quality in customer deliveries
    • Completes warehouse operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees and following up on work results
    • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
    • Leads safety meetings for warehouse personnel
    • Works closely with Logistics Department and other management to plan accordingly for smooth flow of incoming/outbound shipments

    Requirements

    • Experience hosting and maintaining regular safety meetings and a safe work environment
    • Experience managing and leading a team
    • Recruiting entry level warehouse team members
    • A solid understanding of 5S/6 Sigma to ensure high standards of cleanliness and organization
    • Experience working within ERP system
    • Strong computer skills to include expertise in Excel, Word, Power Point, and Outlook
    • An individual with self-initiative
    • Ability to lift at least 50lbs.

    Preferred

    • Experience with operating forklift to unload and load machinery on and off flatbed trucks
    • International shipping and receiving experience
