    TIME: PART-TIME = 20 HOURS/WEEK, M-F, HOURS FLEXIBLE

    JOB DESCRIPTION

    The Admissions Assistants will assist the Programs Enrollment Management Team with application processing, enrolling accepted students in our overseas partners' portals, and general student admissions needs. The Admissions Assistants will support the team of Program Enrollment Coordinators (PECs) with tasks related to application processing, administrative tasks in our new database, and other tasks as necessary; and will report to the Program Enrollment Manager. A successful candidate will be able to work effectively as a member of the team, should be able to take direction well, and should possess strong organizational skills. 

    SPECIFIC DUTIES

    --Application Processing  

    • Managing and maintaining processing of paperwork/documents sent to the admissions inbox, as well as answering/directing students' and customers' queries sent to that inbox
    • Processing specific incoming applications and application pieces
    • Creating and maintaining electronic student files (manual data entry, scanning, organizing)
    • Enrolling students in our overseas university partner online portals
    • Managing spreadsheets and reporting related to enrollment

    --Administrative Tasks 

    • Processing Consortium Agreements
    • Creating and maintaining physical student files when necessary
    • Copying - checks, applications, and academic documents
    • Scanning - applications and university-specific paperwork
    • Compilation, verification, data entry, and tracking of student materials in database

    --Applicant Advising 

    • Generating and sending acceptance packets and visa letters
    • Answering the phone and directing calls to appropriate staff members
    • Answering student phone calls and emails to assist with questions and concerns

    --Other Duties

    • Providing a clear, ongoing account of progress on administrative tasks and project assignments to PEC
    • Checking and updating marketing materials, including the CIS Abroad website 
    • Maintaining current program materials within program documents, handbooks, and webinar slides
    • Creating and maintaining “Standard Operating Procedures” for all tasks performed
    • Assisting the greater Enrollment Management team with tasks as they arise, which may include helping process forms and answering questions that come to the company-wide admissions inbox

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

    • Computer proficiency
    • Interest in international education 
    • Strong customer service skills
    • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
    • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Team player with a rockin' sense of humor

    • Love of (or at least tolerance for) office dogs

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

    • Bachelor's degree preferred
    • Study Abroad experience or international travel experience a plus
    • Experience working with databases and spreadsheets a big plus

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS

    • Ability to lift or maneuver up to 50 pounds
    • Ability to continuously stand or walk
    • Ability to bend, squat, climb stairs, and lift frequently
