    POSITION: STAFF ACCOUNTANT

    LOCATION: ANYWHERE (EXCEPT CALIFORNIA, NEVADA), WITH THE ABILITY TO WORK AN EASTERN TIME ZONE SCHEDULE

    NUMBER OF WEEKLY HOURS: FULL-TIME (EXEMPT), 40 HOURS/WEEK

    ANTICIPATED START DATE:  FEBRUARY 6, 2023

    JOB DESCRIPTION

    This position is responsible for thoroughly and accurately maintaining accounts and documentation, in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practices. The Staff Accountant will assist, and report to, the Assistant Vice President of Finance.

    SPECIFIC DUTIES

    • Manage and maintain core operational accounting activities in a consistent way that is in accordance with company standards: general bookkeeping, accounts receivable functions & accounts payable functions 
    • Assist in month end and year end reconciliation processes
    • Special projects and ad hoc tasks for the AVP of Finance
    • Provide accounting and clerical support - both to the accounting department and other company departments
    • Support other departments in early stage collections and manage late stage collections  
    • Other tasks as needed

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

    • Bachelor's in Accounting with 3.0 GPA or higher OR at least 1 year of accounting work experience 
    • Solid understanding of core accounting principles
    • Strong attention to detail 
    • Data entry competencies
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Enjoy problem solving and learn quickly
    • Possess high-level organizational skills
    • Positive attitude and eagerness to learn
    • Customer service mentality with the ability to effectively communicate with customers and vendors

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

    • Have a working knowledge of QuickBooks
    • Have significant experience with Excel
    • Have experience with complex reconciliations
    • Work well in teams and with other departments
    • Have a sense of humor and enjoy your work
    • An interest and willingness in learning new skills

    COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

    • Annual salary of $43,000-48,000
