Job Summary
The Family Assessment Specialist responsibilities will include Kinship Assessments for prospective kinship caregivers, Foster Care & Adoption Studies; Adoption Home Studies for prospective foster and adoptive families and Adoption Readiness Reports for children being prepared for adoption. He/she must possess stellar writing skills, provide excellent customer service, and work well in a team-oriented professional environment. In addition, he/she must be able to provide transportation and travel to meet with families at their availability. The ability to meet established deadlines is required.
The ideal candidate is required to possess a Bachelor's or Master's Degree from an accredited college or university in Human Services field. Bilingual, Spanish speaking skills a strong plus for this role. Experience working in a child placing agency is preferred. This would be an ideal position for graduate students, social work or LPC interns or teachers looking for extra work in the evenings or on weekends. Due to our contract with DFPS, we are unable to offer contract work to DFPS employees or licensed foster parents. DFPS considers this a conflict of interest.
CK is currently looking for someone who lives in San Antonio and another full time staff to work between Austin and Houston.
