  • Responsibilities

    About the Role:

    We are seeking a skilled and experienced CLASS A CDL Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will operate a small variety of commercial vehicles safely and efficiently, while maintaining a high level of professionalism and customer satisfaction.

    Responsibilities:

    Safely operate a range of commercial vehicles, tri-axle dump trucks including combination semi-truck with dump trailer and/or heavy haul transport trailer.

    Drive a tri-county distance and navigate through various traffic conditions and roadways.

    Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections, reporting any issues or damage to the maintenance team.

    Maintain accurate records of trips, including driving hours, detailed dump tickets and vehicle maintenance.

    Operate manual transmission vehicles. (Note we do NOT have automatic transmission vehicles)

    Communicate effectively with dispatch and site managers to ensure timely delivery schedules.

    Adhere to all local, state, and federal transportation regulations.

    Handle and secure machines, materials and/or miscellaneous cargo.

    Ensure the cleanliness and proper maintenance of the vehicles.

    Perform duties in a fast-paced environment, while maintaining a positive and professional demeanor.

    Requirements:

    Valid CLASS A CDL license with a clean MVR.

    Minimum of 3 years of driving experience in a commercial truck, with a strong knowledge of DOT regulations and safety protocols.

    Must be able to pass a Drug & Alcohol Test.

    Proven ability to operate a variety of commercial vehicles including those mentioned above.

    Experience with manual transmission vehicles and comfortable with the physical demands of truck driving.

    Must be able to operate a Wheel Loader and be able to load yourself from a pile of materials into a dump truck if needed.

    Ability to operate a dump truck through Florida sand.

    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

    Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a focus on meeting deadlines and ensuring timely delivery of goods.

    Must have reliable transportation to and from the workplace.

    Must speak English; does not have to be fluent, preferred Bilingual

    About the Job:

    The average week is 30 hours. Overtime is paid if over 40 hours. Direct Deposit weekly.

    No smoking or vaping in any vehicle or machine.

    Must bring your own food and drinks for the work day.

    Paid Federal Holidays that fall during the 5 day work week.

    1 week paid vacation and 3 sick days after 1 year of employment.

    Local/daytime jobs only, will be home every night.
