    Position Overview

    Timmons Properties is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Basic Cleaning / Community Cleaning Technician to maintain the cleanliness and presentation of the interior common areas of a condominium community in Nashville.

    This is a steady, day-shift role in one condominium community. The position is scheduled for 6 hours per day, 4 days per week, Preferabl Tuesday through Friday. Flexible scheduling is possible, and start and end times may be arranged to fit the selected candidate’s schedule based on community needs. It is well suited to someone who takes pride in a clean, well-kept property and enjoys working independently.

    Location: Nashville, TN

    Compensation: $20.00 – $25.00 per hour, based on experience

    Schedule: 6 hours per day, 4 days per week (approximately 24 hours per week)

    Flexibility: Flexible scheduling is possible; start and end times may be arranged to fit the selected candidate’s schedule based on community needs

    Reporting To: Community Manager

    Key Responsibilities

    Interior Common Area Cleaning

    Sweep, vacuum, mop, and spot-clean lobbies, hallways, stairwells, and elevators

    Clean and sanitize common area restrooms, amenity rooms, and mail areas

    Dust and wipe down railings, doors, light fixtures, signage, and high-touch surfaces

    Clean interior glass, entry doors, and window sills within reach

    Trash and Refuse Management

    Empty common area trash receptacles and replace liners

    Keep trash and recycling rooms and chute areas clean, orderly, and odor-free

    Break down and dispose of boxes and bulk items left in common areas

    Exterior and Entry Presentation

    Police entrances, sidewalks, and walkways for litter and debris

    Keep entry mats, breezeways, and covered areas clean and free of hazards

    Supplies and Equipment

    Maintain cleaning carts, equipment, and supply closets in clean working order

    Track supply levels and notify management when reordering is needed

    Use cleaning chemicals safely and according to label and safety data sheet instructions

    Safety and Reporting

    Report maintenance issues, water intrusion, damage, or safety hazards to management immediately

    Place wet floor signage and follow all safety procedures while working in occupied areas

    Resident Relations

    Interact courteously and professionally with residents, guests, and vendors

    Maintain a neat, presentable appearance and respect resident privacy

    Minimum Qualifications

    High school diploma or GED preferred

    Reliable transportation and dependable attendance

    Ability to follow written and verbal instructions in English

    Ability to pass a background check and drug screening

    Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

    Preferred Qualifications

    6–12 months of janitorial, housekeeping, or custodial experience

    Experience in a condominium, apartment, hotel, or commercial building setting

    Familiarity with commercial cleaning equipment and chemical safety

    Physical Requirements

    Lift and carry up to 40 lbs regularly

    Stand, walk, bend, kneel, and reach for extended periods

    Use stairs and work in occupied indoor and covered outdoor areas

    Benefits

    Employees regularly scheduled to work at least 32 hours per week are eligible for company benefits. The base schedule for this position is approximately 20–24 hours per week; benefits would apply only if the position is expanded to at least 32 scheduled hours per week.
