    POSITION TITLE: CONTRACTING SPECIALIST - HEALTHCARE

    EMPLOYMENT TYPE: FULL-TIME

    JOB LOCATION: TORRANCE, CA

    At MJ Resource Management, we are seeking a passionate and talented candidate to join our Team.

    POSITION OVERVIEW:

    The Contracting Specialist position is ideal for a highly motivated individual who accurately defines problems, negotiates contracts ethically, assesses contractor performance, and researches contracting requirements in project legal documents. This position is responsible for assisting the Operations Manager, Facilities Director, and Director of Operations to prepare contractual agreements for new and ongoing projects and property services, using current research methods and knowledge of a client's needs to fulfill requirements in every phase of contract development from researching the legal regulations to negotiating the terms and conditions, evaluating bids, drafting contract documents for signature, and collaborating with Operations Manager and Facilities Director to see contracts/projects through the closeout stage.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Management: assists the operational teams by managing the contracting process; serves as the main liaison with outside contracting representatives; develops and implements effective procurement proposals; researches regulations to guarantee contracts are updated and in compliance with applicable laws and property management agreements; ensures the scope of work is met and all applicable change order and close-out documents are completed to approve the final payment.

    Reporting: assesses contractor performance to identify needs for amendments of existing contracts; monitors, reviews, and maintains a current contract summary for all projects; maintain a progress report of vendor performance; proactively notifies leadership of upcoming contract expirations; completes ad hoc reporting as requested. In charge of organizing employee and doctor Bonus Structures.

    Financial: provides input for current and proposed contracts during budget creation based on executed contracts and received bids; negotiates contracts within budget limitations provided by leadership; provides detailed budget-to-actual analysis for executed contracts; utilizes expertise to identify opportunities for cost-savings.

    Operations: works closely with operational teams to negotiate contract agreements for products and services (Insurance); assesses contractor performance to identify the need for amendments of existing contracts; prepares and edits contracts between the company and potential clients; handles breaches of contracts in a timely manner; develops and implements effective procurement proposals; prepares bid comparisons that identify the best value; researches regulations to guarantee contracts are updated and in compliance with laws; requests purchase orders for related work; coordinates with clients to guarantee terms of contracts are fulfilled in compliance with the contract terms and regulations.

    In addition to the above, you are expected to execute all other duties as assigned to ensure successful property management operations. This may include assuming responsibilities of the Operations Manager in their absence, or any other position as operations require.

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

    Must be able to sit and stand for extended periods of time.
