    What the position entails

    CLI Studios is looking for a Product Designer to join our team in Los Angeles, CA. As part of the Product Development team you will help CLI Studios drive the growth of our online learning platform for the arts. 

    Here are some of the activities you will be responsible for:

    • Oversee the design lifecycle for new product and feature development
    • Creating a fun, engaging, and intuitive experience for mobile and desktop. 
    • Partner with engineers and/or product managers to develop and enhance our products in line with our overall product and business strategy
    • Gather and evaluate user requirements in collaboration with product managers and engineers
    • Create storyboards, user flows, wireframes, and visual design mockups to support new product and feature development
    • Design key user interface elements
    • Develop and maintain our design system and process 
    • Collaborate with product and engineering teams on developing and maintaining the product roadmap

    What you need to be successful:

    At CLI Studios we're looking for driven, curious, passionate, and hard-working people who have a love for the arts. Here are the specific experiences, skills, and traits that we think will help you be successful in the Product Designer role:

    Experience:

    • Bachelor's Degree in interactive design, design, learning, graphic design, multimedia design, or a related field
    • Experience working for a high-growth start-up 
    • 4+ years of product design experience
    • A portfolio of previous work demonstrating successful design solutions
    • Familiarity with interface design and prototyping tools, such as Sketch, Figma, and Adobe Creative Cloud

    Skills & Traits:

    • A strong understanding of user-centered design (UCD), planning and conducting user research, user testing, A/B testing, and rapid prototyping
    • Strong attention to detail, visual skills and understanding of layout, typography, and visual hierarchy
    • Project management skills with the ability to lead cross-functional discussions and to effectively scope and deliver multiple projects under tight deadlines
    • Ability to understand the business impact of design decisions and drive meaningful product value
    • Drive to deliver excellent results
    • Ability to analyze logically and navigate ambiguity 
    • Desire to learn, grow, and develop new skills and experiences
    • Passion for the arts
    • Entrepreneurial spirit
