Clinic Operations Director Children’s Advocate Behavioral Health Services Matteson, Illinois
Position Overview
Children’s Advocate Behavioral Health Services is seeking a strong operational leader to support the daily structure and supervision of our pediatric behavioral health clinic. This role is ideal for an experienced Assistant Principal, Principal, LCSW, MSW, LPC, LCPC, or LMFT who enjoys working with children and supporting staff within a structured, mission-driven environment.
Our clinic provides behavioral health and developmental services for children. The Clinic Operations Director will help ensure daily operations run smoothly by supporting staff, maintaining structure, and assisting with program implementation.
This position focuses on leadership, organization, accountability, and team supervision, allowing clinicians and therapists to focus on providing high-quality care to children and families.
Key Responsibilities
• Oversee daily clinic operations and maintain a structured environment • Support supervision of behavioral mentors, therapists, and support staff • Assist with staff scheduling, attendance monitoring, and workflow organization • Maintain a calm, organized environment for children receiving services • Support implementation of play-based learning and therapeutic programming • Provide leadership support to staff and reinforce expectations and policies • Assist with parent communication when needed • Monitor program consistency and quality of services • Support onboarding, coaching, and professional development of staff • Identify operational improvements and recommend solutions
Required Background
Candidates must have experience in one or more of the following roles or credentials:
• Assistant Principal • School Principal • Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) • Master of Social Work (MSW) • Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) • Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) • Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience supervising teams or managing staff • Experience working with children or youth programs • Strong leadership and communication skills • Ability to provide structure and maintain expectations in a team environment • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills • Background in education, behavioral health, counseling, or youth programming
Schedule
This role is currently designed as a part-time leadership position averaging approximately 20–30 hours per week. Flexible scheduling may be available depending on clinic needs and candidate availability.
Compensation
Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience.
Typical range for this role is $70,000 – $105,000 annually, with flexibility for candidates bringing significant leadership or clinical experience.
Part-time leadership arrangements may also be considered at $33,65– $50.48 per hour, depending on schedule and qualifications.
