· Drive strategic initiatives and support the development of long-term growth plans and profitability goals.
· Identify, analyze, and recommend opportunities, actions, and recommendations through hindsight reporting.
· Develop assortment plans.
· Collaborate with Sales, Product, and Finance in driving a consensus forecasting process and represents expertise in supply chain and trend-based forecasts.
· Monitor and guide to merchandising team with any gaps within the forecast or process.
· Consolidate and communicate final seasonal forecast to appropriate departments - Build relationships with departments across the company.
· Communicate complex information in a simple to understand yet actionable ways.
· Facilitate vendor negotiations by equipping the Buying Team with all necessary data, models, scenario mockups, and analysis.
· Ad hoc analysis and projects based on business needs.
· 3-5 years of planning/merchandising experience
· Computer Savvy (Advanced in Excel)
· Project management experience
· The right balance of creative and analytical thinking
· Comfortable with trend analysis and problem-solving skills
· Bachelor's Degree in Fashion, Business, or a related field.
· Experience buying/planning for a large national retailer from multiple suppliers
