Job Summary - CMM Inspector:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced CMM Quality Inspector to join our quality assurance team in a high-precision aerospace manufacturing environment. This role is critical in ensuring that all parts and components meet strict aerospace standards and customer specifications.
Key Responsibilities - CMM Inspector:
- Operate and program Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) to perform precise dimensional inspections.
- Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, GD&T, and technical specifications.
- Perform first article inspections (FAI), in-process, and final inspections of machined aerospace components.
- Record and analyze inspection data using quality software and inspection reports.
- Communicate non-conformities and assist with root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with AS9100 and other aerospace quality standards.
- Maintain calibration and cleanliness of inspection tools and equipment.
- Support continuous improvement and 5S initiatives in the inspection area.
Requirements - CMM Inspector:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience operating coordinate measuring machines (CMM's) to measure dimensions of manufactured parts
- Proficiency with CMM software (e.g., PC-DMIS, Calypso, or similar).
- Strong understanding of GD&T and ability to read complex technical drawings.
- Familiarity with AS9100 or ISO 9001 quality systems.
- High attention to detail and excellent analytical skills.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or training preferred.
