    Job Description

    The CMMS Integrator is responsible for ensuring the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) supports safe, compliant, and highly reliable operations within a food manufacturing environment. This role maintains CMMS integrity, standardizes maintenance processes, and ensures preventive and corrective maintenance activities align with food safety, regulatory, and operational requirements.

    The CMMS Integrator serves as the key link between Maintenance, Operations, Sanitation, Quality, Engineering, and IT—ensuring asset care processes and digital systems work together to protect food safety, maximize equipment uptime, and support continuous improvement across all plants. Establishing the asset hierarchy, developing standard inventory material coding is critical for an asset management system.
    Standard inventory material coding ensures consistent identification of spare parts and MRO materials across the different plants in an organization, resulting in reduction of duplicate and obsolete stock while optimizing inventory levels and spare parts strategy.

    Key Responsibilities

    System Ownership & Data Governance

    • Serve as the organizational CMMS subject‑matter expert, ensuring accurate configuration, workflows, and master data.
    • Maintain asset hierarchies, PM programs, sanitation-related maintenance tasks, and equipment records.
    • Establish and enforce data governance standards aligned with food industry regulatory requirements.
    • Manage user access to maintain data security and audit integrity.

    Food Safety & Regulatory Alignment

    • Ensure CMMS workflows support food safety programs, including HACCP, USDA, FDA, SQF, and GFSI requirements.
    • Integrate sanitation maintenance activities and allergen‑related tasks into maintenance schedules.
    • Maintain traceability of critical equipment repairs and calibrations required for audits.
    • Support documentation needs during regulatory, customer, and third‑party audits.

    CMMS Development & Systems Integration

    • Optimize PM, corrective work, sanitation‑related tasks, inventory, and asset management modules.
    • Collaborate with IT and Engineering to connect CMMS with ERP, MES, IoT sensors, SCADA, and downtime tracking systems.
    • Lead testing, validation, and deployment of CMMS enhancements and new capabilities across plants.
    • Support new facility startups and capital project integrations.

    Continuous Improvement & Reliability Support

    • Identify and eliminate gaps or inefficiencies in maintenance workflows.
    • Improve performance metrics such as PM compliance, equipment uptime, sanitation readiness, and maintenance cost control.
    • Support reliability initiatives including TPM pillars, root cause analysis (RCA), and predictive maintenance.
    • Develop dashboards and reports that drive decision‑making and regulatory compliance.

    Training, Change Management & User Support

    • Create training materials, SOPs, and standardized work for CMMS usage.
    • Deliver training for Maintenance, Sanitation, and Operations personnel across all shifts.
    • Lead change‑management efforts to drive system adoption and consistent execution.
    • Provide day‑to‑day troubleshooting and CMMS helpdesk support.

    Parts, Inventory & Vendor Integration

    • Maintain item master data for spare parts with food‑industry criticality considerations.
    • Support allergen‑control and sanitation spare‑parts segregation where applicable.
    • Assist with inventory accuracy, cycle counts, and min/max optimization.
    • Ensure vendor and service provider documentation is properly captured in the CMMS.

    Physical & Work Environment Requirements

    • Ability to work in cold, hot, humid, or noisy food production areas.
    • Capable of walking production floors and accessing mechanical and sanitation equipment.
    • Willingness to support off‑shift or weekend activities during go‑lives or critical downtime events.
    • Travel to plant sites as required.

    Required Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Information Systems, Operations, or related field (or equivalent experience).
    • 3 + years of maintenance, reliability, or system administration experience in a manufacturing environment.
    • Hands‑on experience with CMMS platforms such as SOMAX, SAP PM, Maximo, eMaint, Fiix, or Infor EAM.
    • Strong understanding of maintenance workflows, asset hierarchies, and reliability best practices.
    • Ability to support food safety, regulatory, and audit requirements.
    • Strong analytical, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
    • Experience training and supporting plant‑floor users.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • 5 + years of maintenance, reliability, or system administration experience in a manufacturing environment.
    • Experience in food, beverage, meat processing, or CPG manufacturing industries.
    • Familiarity with USDA, FDA, HACCP, SQF, and GMP requirements.
    • Experience with ERP/MES integrations.
    • Lean, Six Sigma, or TPM certification.
    • Prior involvement in a CMMS or ERP implementation or large‑scale system upgrade.

    Additional Information

    The salary range for this role is $75,000 – $90,000 (Annually). Actual salaries will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to external market data, internal equity, location, and candidate skill set and experience. Base pay is just one component of Jack Link’s Total Rewards package for Team Members. Other rewards may include annual incentive and program-specific awards.
