Job Title: Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) – Contract
Location: 292 Applegarth Road, Monroe Township, NJ 08831
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM | 40 hours/week

Pay Rate: $21/hr (Paid weekly)

Contract Duration: Approx. 2 months

Position Summary

We’re seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) for a 2-month contract to support a medical clinic in Monroe Township, NJ. This role involves clinical and administrative tasks, working closely with physicians and nurses to ensure smooth daily operations and quality patient care.

Responsibilities

• Take and document vital signs

• Implement diagnostic lab orders per policy and standards

• Assist physicians with minor procedures and EKGs

• Support RNs/LVNs within scope of practice

• Maintain and clean medical equipment and supplies

• Document in SOAR format and assist with recordkeeping

• Obtain specimens and follow infection control procedures

• Attend monthly staff meetings and support quality improvement tasks

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED

• Certified Medical Assistant program graduate

• At least 1 year of healthcare experience (correctional health a plus)

• Current BLS certification

Physical Requirements

• Lift up to 50 lbs; assist with patient mobility

• Frequent walking, including stairs

• Ability to handle physically and emotionally demanding situations

• Must be able to perform CPR and respond to emergencies

Work Environment

• Clinical setting with occasional local travel

• Exposure to weather and road conditions when traveling

• Frequent standing and walking throughout the day
