Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nursing Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to patients, assisting with daily living activities and ensuring their comfort and well-being. This role is crucial in delivering high-quality patient care in various settings, including hospitals, senior care facilities, and pediatric units.
Responsibilities
Assist patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and eating.
Monitor and record vital signs, including temperature, pulse, and blood pressure.
Help with mobility by lifting or transferring patients safely.
Administer medications as directed by healthcare professionals.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of patient rooms and common areas.
Collaborate with nursing staff to develop and implement patient care plans.
Provide emotional support to patients and their families during challenging times.
Document patient progress and report any changes in condition to the nursing staff.
Skills
Strong knowledge of anatomy to understand patient needs effectively.
Experience in pediatrics or working with children is a plus.
Familiarity with medical-surgical practices for comprehensive patient care.
Proficient in medication administration protocols.
Ability to work effectively in a hospital environment or similar settings.
Experience lifting patients or assisting those with mobility challenges.
Knowledge of working with individuals with developmental disabilities is beneficial.
Background in senior care to cater to the elderly population's unique needs.
Familiarity with eClinicalWorks or similar electronic health record systems is advantageous.
Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is required.
