Assisting Hands Home Care is looking for CNAs and HHAs who want to provide meaningful one-on-one care for seniors and adults in their homes.
This posting is for caregiver opportunities in the Ponte Vedra Beach, St. Johns County, Jacksonville, and surrounding service areas.
If you are tired of facility work where you are stretched across too many patients, home care offers something different. You can focus on one client at a time, follow a personalized care plan, and make a direct difference in someone’s daily life.
This is a W-2 employee position. It is not a 1099 contractor role or registry position.
About our family business, Assisting Hands Assisting Hands Home Care is a locally owned home care agency operated by a husband and wife team. Our owners are involved in the business every day, and our office team works hard to support caregivers with communication, scheduling, and case information.
We believe caregivers stay longer and provide better care when they feel respected, heard, and appreciated.
Why This Role May Be a Good Fit
One-on-one care with seniors and adults in their homes
Flexible schedule options based on your availability and client needs
Part-time and full-time opportunities
Daytime, evening, weekend, and some overnight shifts
Minimum 4-hour shifts, with longer 8-hour and 12-hour shifts available
W-2 employment with payroll taxes handled through payroll
Typical pay of $16 to $18 per hour for most cases
Higher rates may be available for select assignments
Same-day pay access through TapCheck
Direct deposit
Referral bonuses
Mileage reimbursement between same-day client visits
Clear support from a local office team
What You Will Help With
You will help clients remain safe, comfortable, and independent at home.
Common responsibilities include:
Bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting assistance
Transfers and mobility support
Meal preparation
Light housekeeping to keep the client's living area safe and sanitary
Companionship and conversation
Medication reminders
Help with errands or appointments when included in the care plan
Reporting concerns or changes to the office
Each client is different. Some need hands-on personal care. Some need supervision, reminders, companionship, or help around the home. We work to match caregivers with cases based on availability, skills, client needs, and reasonable travel distance.
What We Look For We are looking for caregivers who are dependable, professional, caring, and comfortable working in client homes. Good communication is important. If something changes, the office needs to know. If you accept a shift, the client needs to be able to count on you.
This is a strong fit for caregivers who take pride in doing the small things well: showing up on time, treating clients with dignity, and keeping families informed through the proper channels.
Requirements
Active Florida CNA license or classroom HHA certificate
Successful Level II Background Screening
Recent TB screening
Classroom CPR certification
HIV/AIDS training
Alzheimer’s and Related Dementias training
Assistance with Self-Administration of Medication training
Reliable transportation to client homes
Paid caregiving experience with seniors or adults needing personal care
