  • Responsibilities

    HJ Staffing is looking for a CNA-Nursing Facility to support a high-standard nursing facility. This role combines the hands-on care of a Certified Nurse Aide with the technical responsibilities of a Medication Technician. You will be a vital link in the clinical team, ensuring residents receive both their prescribed medications and the daily living support necessary for their well-being.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Medication Administration: Safely prepare and administer medications to residents as prescribed, following all clinical protocols and safety standards.

    • Direct Patient Care: Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including personal hygiene, grooming, and mobility.

    • Clinical Monitoring: Observe residents for changes in condition or adverse reactions to medications and report findings to the nursing lead.

    • Documentation: Maintain accurate, timely records of medication administration and resident care in the facility's management system.

    • Safety & Compliance: Adhere to all facility policies, HIPAA privacy rules, and safety regulations to ensure a secure environment.

    Required Credentials & Compliance

    To be considered for this role, candidates must possess and maintain the following documentation:

    • Licensure & Registry:
      • Active CNA Certification and Med Tech (MT) Certification.
      • Online License Verification.
    • Background & Security: * RI FBI/BCI - National Criminal Background Check. * Criminal Background Check. * OIG and EPLS/GSA Search. * State and National Sex Offender Search.
    • Health & Immunizations: * Physical (No Expiration Date). * PPD's (2 Skin Tests or QuantiFeron); Positive PPD results require a Chest X-Ray (No Expiration Date). * Annual TB Questionnaire. * MMR, Varicella, and Hepatitis B (Series, Titer, or Immunizations/Declination). * Influenza Vaccination and TDAP (No Expiration Date).
    • Training & Certifications: * BLS Certification. * CEU Dementia Training. * Annual Mandatory Training Attestation Form.

    Skills & Qualifications

    Experience: Proven experience in a nursing facility or long-term care environment is preferred

    Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams.

    Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy in medication dosing and resident documentation.

    Independence: A self-starter who can work efficiently under general direction.
