Position Summary A Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is responsible for assisting with daily living activities. CNA’s work closely with residents in a respectful manner by providing assistance in a dignified, trusting environment.
Crossroads will pay for Qualified Medication Administration Personnel (QMAP) training and test for qualified candidates (must be repaid if position is vacated prior to 6 months of continuous employment) A QMAP is responsible for accurate and precise administration of medication to residents in a fast-paced environment, working closely with residents in a respectful manner.
Part time 2pm - 10pm shift available.
Duties and Responsibilities • Essential functions include, but are not limited to the following: • Perform resident care with an awareness of dignity and individuality, with understanding and concern • Maintains cleanliness of all areas within Crossroads facility including the cleanliness and maintenance of equipment and supplies • Responsible for resident care as defined by Crossroads Management and the Resident Services Director • Responsible for answering emergency and routine calls via the pendant call system • Serves as a team member in the preparation, set-up and serving in the dining room • Makes beds and checks resident rooms for trash and soiled laundry • Notify supervisory personnel of any situation pertaining to quality customer service, safety, productivity, security, or any other situation in the building, including resident rooms, that may have an adverse effect • Demonstrate understanding of care terminology, equipment and aid residents in all facets of daily living • Ability to document using iPad and laptop computer.
Qualifications • Must be 18 years of age, in accordance with Federal Law and Standards • Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in good standing prefered • Passionate about working in an elderly community and exceptional customer service • Maintain a flexible schedule in order to meet the needs of the department • Ability to work independently, effectively manage own time and multi-task in a fast-paced environment • Effectively communicate with staff and elderly residents • Ability to read, understand and follow through with verbal and written instructions • Willingness to learn new tasks and processes • Must meet a required work schedule and adhere to company attendance policies • Must pass pre-employment drug screening, criminal background investigation, and reference inquiries
Physical Requirements • Consistently required to stand, walk, bend, squat, reach, grasp, twist and turn, talk, listen and hear. • Ability to lift 30-50 pounds • Medium physical strength required to perform work
Salary
Starting at $17.00 an hour
Differential pay offered for shifts worked on Saturday and Sunday.
