Home Helpers Home Care of Olney is looking to expand its Caregiver family. We are hiring kind, compassionate, and dedicated CNAs that have extensive training in caring for Dementia clients. Join our team if you are dedicated to providing exceptional care to our growing senior population.

Shift: Monday Thru Friday from 7:00am - 3:00pm Every other Saturday and Sunday 7:00am - 3:00pm Every other Saturday and Sunday from 3:00pm - 10:00pm

Qualifications:

• Will need current CPR and First Aid Certification
• Current CNA license
• Must have a valid driver's license and auto insurance
• Must have reliable transportation
• Must have good oral and written communication skills
• Must be able to understand care plans and assessments
• Must have Dementia experience

Responsibilities to include: This position involves caring for an adult male with dementia who is physically strong, strong-willed, and highly independent. The client may attempt to stand or move without assistance and may physically resist redirection during care activities. Applicants must understand that:

The client may pull away, resist assistance, or grab onto the caregiver during moments of confusion or agitation

Physical redirection, steady support, and confident boundary-setting may be required to maintain safety

The role involves close physical contact and active supervision throughout the shift

Personal Care (bathing, dressing, transfers)

Assist with feeding the client

Medication reminders

Exercise and walking

Escort the client to activities within the facility
