    ****G3 Aerospace

G3 Aerospace is a rapidly growing aerospace engineering and manufacturing company specializing in aircraft interior components, thermoformed plastics, and composite structures. We support leading aerospace OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers with an engineering-first, hands-on approach that bridges design, manufacturing, and quality in a high-mix, low-volume production environment.

    About the Role

G3 Aerospace is seeking a hands-on CNC 5-Axis Router Operator to support production of aerospace interior components and related parts. This role is focused on machine operation, setup, quality checks, and troubleshooting, not programming.

The ideal candidate is comfortable working on the shop floor, following established CNC programs, setting up fixtures and tooling, and ensuring parts are produced safely, efficiently, and to specification.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Operate 5-axis CNC routers in a production environment
    • Set up machines according to setup sheets, fixtures, and work instructions
    • Load and unload parts, fixtures, and tooling
    • Verify correct tools, offsets, and work holding prior to running programs
    • Monitor machining operations to ensure parts meet quality and dimensional requirements
    • Perform in-process inspections and basic dimensional checks
    • Identify and troubleshoot common machining issues (tool wear, chatter, part movement, surface finish issues)
    • Perform routine machine maintenance, cleaning, and housekeeping
    • Accurately complete job travelers, inspection records, and production documentation
    • Assist with packaging, labeling, and preparation of finished parts for shipment
    • Work closely with programmers, engineers, and quality to resolve production issues
    • Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area

    Required Qualifications

    • 2+ years experience operating CNC routers (5-axis preferred)
    • Experience setting up fixtures, tooling, and work offsets
    • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and work instructions
    • Familiarity with basic measuring tools (calipers, tape measures, go/no-go gauges, etc.)
    • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
    • Willingness to assist with other shop-floor duties as needed

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience operating 5-axis CNC routers
    • Background in aerospace, interiors, plastics, composites, or thermoformed parts
    • Experience with trim operations and complex part geometries
    • Familiarity with CNC router platforms
    • Basic understanding of G-code (for awareness and troubleshooting, not programming)

    Physical & Work Environment Requirements

    • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
    • Prolonged standing, bending, and working around moving machinery
    • Moderate noise environment typical of a manufacturing shop

    What We’re Looking For

    • A reliable, safety-conscious operator who takes pride in their work
    • Someone who follows procedures but speaks up when something doesn’t look right
    • A team player who supports production goals and continuous improvement
    • Hands-on, mechanically inclined, and comfortable working with machinery

    Benefits & Compensation

    • Competitive hourly pay based on experience
    • Health benefits package
    • Paid holidays and paid time off
    • Profit-sharing bonuses
    • Opportunities for skill development and advancement
