    A growing precision machining and contract manufacturing company in Eastlake, Ohio is seeking a skilled CNC Lathe/Mill Machinist to join their team. This position plays a key role in producing high-precision components for industries such as aerospace, defense, and motion control.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Set up and operate CNC lathe and milling machines to cut, shape, and form metal workpieces to specification

    • Review setup sheets, blueprints, and job specifications to determine machining sequence and setup requirements

    • Secure fixtures and workpieces using clamps, bolts, hand tools, and measuring instruments

    • Install and assemble cutting tools and tool holders as required

    • Load machine programs and run pre-programmed CNC instructions

    • Monitor machine operation to detect tool wear, malfunctions, or inconsistencies

    • Adjust feeds, speeds, and tooling when necessary to maintain part quality

    • Measure parts using micrometers, calipers, gauges, and dial indicators to ensure compliance with specifications

    • Notify supervisors of discrepancies or production issues

    • Assist with troubleshooting and continuous improvement efforts

    • Support team members and maintain a safe, organized work environment

    What We’re Looking For

    • High school diploma or GED

    • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings

    • Experience using precision inspection tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges, etc.)

    • Understanding of CNC programming and G & M codes

    • Knowledge of CNC machining equipment and processes

    • Basic computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel

    • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
