    CNC Lathe Machinist Lead

    Direct Hire | Western Suburbs of the Twin Cities | $45–$50/hour, DOE

    Join a well-established and growing manufacturing company located in the western suburbs of the Twin Cities. We are currently seeking a skilled Lead CNC Lathe Machinist to oversee the day-to-day operations of our CNC turning department and drive productivity, quality, and team development.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Set up and operate CNC turning machines and equipment as needed.
    • Troubleshoot production issues and provide hands-on support to team members.
    • Analyze and implement process improvements to boost efficiency and throughput.
    • Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and job orders; assign tasks accordingly.
    • Manage and balance labor resources to meet production schedules and ensure on-time delivery.
    • Recommend improvements in production methods, equipment, and product quality.
    • Provide on-the-job training and mentorship to CNC operators and team members.
    • Conduct performance evaluations and support goal setting and development plans.
    • Collaborate with the Quality Department to address and resolve part discrepancies.

    Qualifications:

    • 5+ years of experience operating CNC lathes.
    • 3+ years in a lead or supervisory role within a manufacturing environment.
    • High school diploma or GED required; a technical degree or certification is a plus.
    • Strong problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
