Key Responsibilities

• Operate CNC lathe machines to produce precision parts according to specifications and blueprints
• Set up and adjust machine controls, tooling, and workholding devices for various production runs
• Measure finished parts using traditional non-digital measuring tools including calipers, micrometers, and gauges
• Monitor machine operations to ensure quality standards and detect potential issues
• Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of CNC lathe equipment
• Load and unload raw materials and finished parts safely and efficiently
• Document production data and maintain accurate records of completed work
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production schedules and quality targets

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience operating machinery in manufacturing, construction, or similar industrial environment
• Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints and technical drawings
• Proficiency with non-digital measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and dial indicators
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
• Basic math skills including fractions, decimals, and geometric calculations
• Willingness to learn CNC programming and advanced machining techniques

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience with CNC machines or manual lathes
• Vocational training or coursework in machining or manufacturing
• Familiarity with different types of metals and cutting tools
• Experience working in a team-oriented manufacturing environment
