We are seeking a skilled CNC Lathe Operator to join our automotive manufacturing team in Sunbury, Ohio. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience operating and programming CNC lathes, performing mechanical maintenance, and ensuring precision parts are produced to the highest quality standards. This role is essential to maintaining smooth production and supporting our commitment to automotive excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and program CNC lathes to produce automotive components according to blueprints and specifications.
• Set up machines, including tooling, fixtures, and work holding devices.
• Perform mechanical maintenance and troubleshoot machinery to minimize downtime.
• Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges) to ensure quality standards are met.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work area.
• Collaborate with production and engineering teams to optimize processes and improve efficiency.
• Document machine setups, production metrics, and maintenance activities.

Qualifications:

• Experience: 2+ years in CNC lathe operation or mechanical/precision machining in a manufacturing environment (automotive experience preferred).
• Technical Skills: Knowledge of G-code programming, CAD/CAM software, and machine tool operation.
• Mechanical Aptitude: Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and hydraulic systems.
• Attention to Detail: Strong focus on quality and precision.
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications in CNC machining or mechanical technology are a plus.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 30 lbs, stand for extended periods, and work in a manufacturing environment.
