About the Role:
C & T Industrial Machine Shop, Inc. is looking for a skilled CNC Machinist to join their team in Byron, GA. Responsibilities:
Set up, operate, and monitor CNC machines to produce precision parts and components
Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD files to determine machining specifications
Select appropriate tooling, fixtures, and cutting parameters for each job
Perform in-process quality inspections using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers and calipers
Troubleshoot machine issues and make program adjustments to ensure dimensional accuracy
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area in compliance with shop safety standards
Perform routine machine maintenance and report any equipment issues to supervisors
Requirements:
Proven experience as a CNC Machinist in a machine shop or industrial manufacturing environment
Proficiency in CNC programming, setup, and operation (mill and/or lathe)
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, and technical drawings
Experience with precision measuring tools including micrometers, calipers, and gauges
Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and meet production deadlines
High school diploma or equivalent; vocational/technical training in machining preferred
