Job Description: As a CNC Machine Operator and Programmer, you will be responsible for programming, setting up, and operating 3-axis and 5-axis CNC machines. You will work from blueprints, sketches, and verbal instructions to create high-quality parts with close tolerances. Your role will include collaborating with our team on designs and product development, ensuring efficient workflow, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
Key Responsibilities:
Program CNC machines using Fusion 360 / HSM Works or similar software, including manual program changes.
Set up and operate various CNC machines, including mills and lathes, for complex and precise production operations.
Analyze job orders, drawings, and blueprints to produce intricate parts.
Perform first article inspections and ensure parts conform to specifications using precision measuring instruments.
Collaborate with engineers and designers to develop cost-efficient fabrication methods and resolve product/process issues.
Maintain equipment and ensure proper calibration and cleanliness.
Implement lean initiatives to increase productivity and reduce costs.
Train and mentor less experienced team members.
Requirements:
Minimum 5 years of experience in CNC machining and programming.
Self-motivated, dependable, and able to work well with others.
Strong organizational skills and ability to keep a clean workspace.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, complex drawings, and engineering specifications.
Advanced knowledge of shop mathematics, including trigonometry.
Creative machining and setup skills with the ability to bring new ideas to the table.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to lift up to 35 lbs and perform manual dexterity tasks.
