JOB DESCRIPTION: CNC MACHINIST (Niles, MI)

Known for its climate-controlled, state-of-the-art facility and investment in advanced technology, they deliver complex, highly engineered parts where tolerances are routinely measured in the millionths.
Shifts Available:
- 1st Shift: 6:00 AM – 3:30 PM
- 2nd Shift: 3:30 PM – 1:00 AM
- 3rd Shift: Flexible Hours: Expect 45–50 hours/week
Starting Pay Range:
- $25–$35/hr.+ (based on experience)
Key Responsibilities
This is not a “button-pusher” role. This is precision machining for mission-critical industries.
- Perform CNC machining operations on lathes, grinders, or Swiss machines
- Run set-ups (typically 1 setup per week)
- Make G & M code edits as needed
- Perform dimensional inspections using micrometers, calipers, indicators, etc.
- Read and interpret precision aerospace-level blueprints
- Maintain extremely tight tolerances and quality standards
- Work within a clean, climate-controlled, high-performance environment
- Communicate clearly with leadership; ask questions, engage, and problem-solve
Required Experience
3+ years of experience in one or more of the following:
- CNC Lathe
- Grinding
- Swiss machining (always considered)
- Strong inspection and measurement ability
- Ability to hold extremely tight tolerances
- Solid blueprint reading skills
- Mechanical aptitude and high accountability
- Desire to work in a disciplined, high-standard manufacturing culture
